About Us

We are Biruința Olteniei, a cooperative from Dobrun commune, Olt county, aiming to offer Romanians whole wheat and rye flour, WITHOUT improvers, stone-milled from locally grown grains.

The cooperative was born in 2018, following the decision of its 5 founding members to unite and become stronger. Cooperation was necessary to overcome challenges in the current context of Romanian agriculture. Although the cooperative is young, it relies on the over 30 years of experience of our technologist and consultant, Adrian Ignat, who closely monitors the crop stages and manages every intervention. This ensures the production of high-quality raw materials every year and the delivery of the exact same product to our customers with every order.

We rely exclusively on Romanian genetics—old varieties focused on quality and nutrition. We cultivate the Glosa wheat variety and the Suceveana rye variety, which have proven their exceptional qualities over the years. Through our cultivation technology and agricultural practices, we willingly sacrifice yield in favor of quality, so that the final result—our flour—is truly extraordinary.

We are proud of our stone mill, a mill just like in the old days, which grinds at low speeds (90–120 revolutions per minute) without overheating the flour. Due to the slow milling and low temperature (30–35 degrees), the flour retains all its nutritional qualities. Milling the whole grain makes it rich in fiber and nutrients, while the exceptional quality of the grains used eliminates the need for any improvers.
